The best leaders hold in their minds pictures of what the future can be. Values-based leaders use that image as a compass by which they navigate their lives. They enlist others by identifying common interests and demonstrating how the shared vision will satisfy mutual needs. Leaders create a "glamorous draw" to their departments or companies that help attract the best talent available.
